I also have some growing in pots which seem to be doing well, but they will need dividing. Maybe you need to introduce some more (some of mine were from my Mum)...
Best wishes
EllieEllie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12437259693600577503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3535765080722557710.post-91678517377276474522016-02-12T14:23:49.597+00:002016-02-12T14:23:49.597+00:00Isn't it wonderful to see a bit of blue sky fo...Isn't it wonderful to see a bit of blue sky for a change. We've had frosty starts yesterday and today but the sun has put in an appearance and it really does lift the mood. I love it when the spring bulbs start to break through the soil and burst in to flower. You look to have some good clumps of snowdrops. I've never planted any but there's some in the garden which were here when we arrived more than twenty two years ago, yet they've never bulked up at all, such a shame.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3535765080722557710.post-31136582897275446642016-02-11T19:40:38.460+00:002016-02-11T19:40:38.460+00:00Thanks, CT. The ones I have got are Galanthus Nivalis Flore Pleno (rather a mouthful), in case that might help with your search. They don't seem to bulk up like the single snowdrops do, but that makes each flower just that little bit more special.
Best wishes
EllieEllie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12437259693600577503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3535765080722557710.post-5114003895688821292016-02-11T16:44:32.522+00:002016-02-11T16:44:32.522+00:00Gorgeous. Mine are in a slightly shady area, but they do get some sun. I have found them easy to care for as all you have to do is cut the old foliage off, either in late autumn or early spring, to allow the new leaves and buds a bit of room. I hope you manage to get some.
Best wishes
EllieEllie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12437259693600577503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3535765080722557710.post-26226893562568326122016-02-10T17:51:17.476+00:002016-02-10T17:51:17.476+00:00Thanks, DD. I would love to have more hellebores because I find their markings so interesting, but I really don't have room for more, so I have to content myself with three. The double snowdrops don't seem to build up like the other snowdrops do, so when they appear, I always like to show them some attention!
Best wishes
EllieEllie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12437259693600577503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3535765080722557710.post-22365161247334696202016-02-09T18:37:06.432+00:002016-02-09T18:37:06.432+00:00What wonderful beauties you have growing in your g...What wonderful beauties you have growing in your garden! xxAmy at love made my homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17111180584250029433noreply@blogger.com
