There are quite a few photos on this post, but when there is so much happening in the garden, it isn't surprising. The two daffodils above seem to be sharing some gossip.
The crocuses took a while, but have now graced us with their elegant presence...in purple
...and white.
I love to see primroses - simple but beautiful.
The blue of a scilla just doesn't show on this photo.
Then there are the hellebores...speckled pink

...and the latest addition 'Hello Ruby', not in the border yet but acclimatising to the garden.

Cardamine Quinquifolia (three flower stems this year and slowly spreading.
It has been really windy this week, but Spring is on the way.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Chrissie. If I had more garden, I would definitely have lots more hellebores. The flowers stay on the stems for a long time and they work so well with the other Winter and Spring flowers.

We've only got daffodils and crocus in the garden so far this year. Mind you, this week has been so wet and windy. I can't wait for some brighter days.

Your garden is so pretty, especially the hellebores. I know I have missed getting pictures of mine at their best this year . . . as you know, I've not been inclined to get in the garden so it is lovely to see yours. 🐾💚

WOW...lovely each and everyone. Hard to pick a favorite one. We’ve not yet really seen any flowers at home, but some greenery coming up from the ground, so maybe soon. I hope. I love color and I love spring flowers. I am enjoying some flowers this week, as we’re out of town in SC where it’s warmer and flowers are blooming. Sorry I’m not able to leave a proper link to my blog, as I am on my ipad and it’s very difficult to do the cut paste thing with the ipad.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandy. From now to June is my favourite time of year in the UK. Everything is so fresh and green and the Spring flowers are a joy. I am hoping that my tulips will do well - I have planted a new to me variety 'Danceline' so am looking forward to seeing that one.
