Latest card making

Here are a few of the cards I have been making so far this year.  Above is one for my brother-in-law, using gilding flakes which was fun to make, but a bit messy as the flakes can go everywhere!
Here is the one I made for my colleague at work who is very creative.  It took a couple of goes to get it how I wanted, but I got there in the end.
Decorating the envelope and the inside of the card was enjoyable too.
This is for a friend's birthday at the weekend.  This is a gel plate print in the background and a white die cut front.
The final card for now is a stencilled image which turned out well.  I am now working on Mothering Sunday cards and then it will be Easter cards...
I have also started my April ATC today and so far it is looking nice.

  1. I always love seeing your cards - and I am sure the recipients regard them as keepsakes to treasure. As I do the card which arrived with my felted lambs (also treasured).

    1. Thanks, EC. I enjoy making cards, as I do any papercraft-related project. I'm so pleased that the sheep/lambs found such a good home with you!

  3. They're all fabulous. I like what you've done for your brother in law, that's different. I think it's much easier to think of things for women.

    1. Thanks, Jo. I always find cards for men much more difficult - they don't always appreciate floral images! I tend to keep to simple patterns as with the first card. The gilding flakes made it a bit more interesting though.

  6. Wow these are amazing! They are much better than my amateur efforts. They are better than anything you see for sale in the shops.

    1. Thanks, sustainablemum. My card making is improving all the time (some of my first efforts were a bit less than impressive, but we all have to start somewhere and it's about the learning process). I do watch videos and demos quite a lot and I have found it does depend on the quality of the materials I use too. I am sure your cards are made with love and nothing is better than that! Also, enjoying the process is a huge part of any creative activity.
