Happy Easter 2026

To those who celebrate, Happy Easter.  Above are some of the cards I made this year.  I hope they have all got safely to their destinations.
The 'seasonal tree' in the sitting room is full of Easter decorations.  I enjoy changing these to reflect the seasons, months and celebrations.
Another card - I made a few variations on this one for my cat loving friends.
It wouldn't be Easter without some treats, so I made some butterfly cakes with a couple of Cadbury's mini eggs on top.

Storm Dave is starting to make his presence felt today here in the UK, and it is certainly windy outside.  Enjoy the Easter weekend and celebrate new life and renewal, despite the weather!

  1. Your easter cards & your decorations are simply beautiful Ellie - just so special. Your butterfly cakes look delicious - I am just about to make chocolate cupcakes (again) for my Grandson tomorrow. Wishing you a very happy Easter Ellie - hope that storm passes over quickly with no damage. xx

    1. Thanks, Julie. Have a lovely Easter weekend too. The butterfly cakes are simple, but delicious. I am sure your chocolate cupcakes will be much appreciated, like last time! Storm Dave is giving us gusty winds here but I think it will be worse for people living further north. I hope everyone will be safe.

  2. The cross cat/easter bunny card made me chuckle :)
We must have been lucky with the weather, although still rubbish I think we managed to miss the full brunt.
I made a ginger marmalade teabread for the weekend - a new to me recipe, it was rather tasty but dry - the recipe did say might need to add extra milk - so I will next time.

    1. Thanks, kjsutcliffe. We were reasonably lucky here too, although my husband's polytunnel (a freebie and not the best quality) didn't survive at the allotment. I like to think that the cross cat represents all cats who are made to dress up - how undignified!! That set also has some really good 'grumpy' sentiments too.
