Artists' Trading Card (ATC) - September

Where has this year gone?  It seems it was March just the other day.  Here is the ATC for September, focusing on a much more Autumnal feel. The background is more mixed media, using book pages and dripped acrylic paint.  The fruit and berries have had glossy accents on them to add some shine, but this isn't very clear in the photos.
The gemstones are echoing the autumnal colours, with citrine, botswana agate, dyed shell, tiger's eye, red agate and two shades of mookite.  The gem for September is Lapis Lazuli, which is a beautiful deep blue.
On the back, there is the poem for the month and part of an autumn wreath stamp with leaves and berries.  For the first day of September, the weather is lovely with blue skies and sunshine.

  1. How lovely. Such pretty gemstones too, and nice to add a poem for the month.

    1. Thanks, Jo. I have been enjoying this self-set monthly challenge and chose the poem as it is one I remember from my childhood. It is good to include some of my gemstone stash every month too!

  2. I always love seeing your creativity. And yes, for a year which has at times seemed to be very slow moving, it has rocketed past. Which is weird - and true.

    1. Thanks, EC. I am hoping that 2021 will prove to be a very creative year indeed - more on that soon. I am in preparation mode at the moment. In a way, it is good that 2020 is going fast - I think a lot of people will be glad to see it go.

  4. Another lovely Trading Card Ellie, I have loved every one of these. It definitely feels more autumnal out there doesn't it? It is just the beginning and end of the days for now but it will gradually creep into the rest of the day over the coming weeks.

    1. Thanks, sustainablemum. Yes, there is a definite cooling of temperatures and changing of the light. I like all the colours of autumn and sometimes we are lucky enough to have some sunshine to enjoy too.
