Winter into Spring

There are quite a few photos on this post, but when there is so much happening in the garden, it isn't surprising.  The two daffodils above seem to be sharing some gossip.
The crocuses took a while, but have now graced us with their elegant presence...in purple
...and white.
I love to see primroses - simple but beautiful.
The blue of a scilla just doesn't show on this photo.
Then there are the hellebores...speckled pink
 Picotee pink...
 Not sure, but pretty anyway...
lovely pure white...
...and the latest addition 'Hello Ruby', not in the border yet but acclimatising to the garden.
 Pale and beautiful narcissus Elka.
 Camellia St Ewe.
Cardamine Quinquifolia (three flower stems this year and slowly spreading.
It has been really windy this week, but Spring is on the way.

    1. Thanks, Briony. The wind has really made itself felt, hasn't it? I am looking forward to Spring proper too.

    1. Thanks, Chrissie. If I had more garden, I would definitely have lots more hellebores. The flowers stay on the stems for a long time and they work so well with the other Winter and Spring flowers.

  4. We've only got daffodils and crocus in the garden so far this year. Mind you, this week has been so wet and windy. I can't wait for some brighter days.

    1. Thanks, Nikki-ann and welcome. Hopefully the brighter days are on their way - the weekend was a bit unexpected with hailstorms and wind. March is definitely like a lion at the moment.

  5. Your garden is so pretty, especially the hellebores. I know I have missed getting pictures of mine at their best this year . . . as you know, I've not been inclined to get in the garden so it is lovely to see yours. 🐾💚

    1. Thanks, Jayne. I really need to get on with a bit of pruning and sorting. I do love my little garden and enjoy spending time out there. I find gardening to be a very relaxing and meditative thing to do (well, most of the time).

  6. WOW...lovely each and everyone. Hard to pick a favorite one. We’ve not yet really seen any flowers at home, but some greenery coming up from the ground, so maybe soon. I hope. I love color and I love spring flowers. I am enjoying some flowers this week, as we’re out of town in SC where it’s warmer and flowers are blooming. Sorry I’m not able to leave a proper link to my blog, as I am on my ipad and it’s very difficult to do the cut paste thing with the ipad.

    1. Thanks, Sandy. From now to June is my favourite time of year in the UK. Everything is so fresh and green and the Spring flowers are a joy. I am hoping that my tulips will do well - I have planted a new to me variety 'Danceline' so am looking forward to seeing that one.
